Death toll reaches 10 in China road accident

HEFEI - Two people injured in a road accident in East China's Anhui province died after rescue efforts failed, bringing the accident's death toll to 10, local publicity authorities said Tuesday.
Five other people were also injured, with two in critical condition, in the truck and van collision that occurred around 4:47 pm on Monday in Dangshan county, according to sources with the county's publicity office.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
