Rain and hailstone lashed an earthquake-jolted region in Minxian county, Gansu province, on Monday night, leaving at least seven people dead and one missing.
The storm occurred at about 8 pm in Meichuan and Zhongzhai townships, with 93 mm of rain falling, according to a report from China News Service.
The heavy rain caused mudslides and flooding.
Seven bodies were found and one person is missing.
The flood has also destroyed roads and caused blackouts at some villages, the report said.
On July 22, a 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit the Minxian county, leaving at least 95 people dead.
