Police have arrested a suspect who they say killed a 9-year-old boy in Henan province on Friday.

The boy's body was found in a river at about 3 am Saturday in Yuzhou. The boy had more than 100 knife wounds, the Dahe Daily reported.

Liu Haiyang, the boy's father, said that he could not find his son at about 6 pm when they went to visit the boy's grandmother. The video clip recorded by the community's security camera showed that the boy was taken by a young man to a house and never came out.

The boy's family members went to the young man's house, and the man's father said that it was his son who killed the boy, the report said.

The investigation is continuing.
