Three nurses of a hospital in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, were injured, including one severely, in a knife attack by a former patient at the hospital on Monday morning, local media reported.
The suspect, a man in his 20s who received surgery at the affiliated hospital with the Hunan Provincial Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, allegedly wielded a knife against the three nurses after he had a conversation with a doctor at the hospital, Hunan Daily reported on Monday, citing the deputy dean of the hospital.
The three nurses are out of danger after emergency rescue and police are still searching for the suspect, the report said.
The suspect's motive is not yet known.
