E China bus-tractor crash kills 9, injures 29

HEFEI - Nine people were killed and 29 others injured when a heavy tractor collided with a bus early on Tuesday morning in Bozhou City in east China's Anhui province.

At about 1:20 a.m., the heavy semi-trailer tractor crashed into the bus at an intersection in Lixin County of Bozhou, said the Anhui provincial department for work safety.

The 29 injured people, including seven in severe conditions, have been sent to local hospitals.

Investigation into the accident is under way.
