The process of dismantling an illegal two-story rock-covered villa on top of a building in Beijing's Haidian district is mostly complete, Beijing News reported on Wednesday.
The illegal structure, which was exposed in mid-August, was ordered to be removed on Aug 12.
The report said most of the rocks and the steel frame of the structure had been removed. The remaining parts are expected to be taken away by the end of the month.
