An 11-year-old boy died in an accident involving a school bus and a construction lorry in Shenzhen.
Fourteen students and a teacher were also injured in the accident on Thursday in the Pingshan area.
Witnesses said the accident occurred at a crossroads where the traffic lights were out of order.
The school bus, operated by Longbei Primary School, carried 15 students, a teacher and a driver, well within its permitted capacity of 28 people.
The police have detained the lorry driver for further investigation.
