A woman in Guangdong province posted online saying she would marry anyone who could pay her father's medical bills, New Express reported on Tuesday.

Dong Mei, 20, a resident in Yangchun's Yongning township, said that her 40-year-old father was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in August 2012, and, as their family could not pay 200,000 yuan ($32,850) for an operation, her father had to take medicine to control the disease.

In January, when the family finally collected 200,000 yuan, her father's health was too poor to receive the operation. The family so far had paid about 300,000 yuan for medical treatment.

Doctors said that Dong's father should receive a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible and the cost would be at least 400,000 yuan. As Dong had only received about 50,000 yuan in donations, she made the online offer to marry.
