A middle-aged kindergarten teacher in Luzhou, Sichuan province, was fired on Monday for threatening a student with a fruit knife, saying she would cut off his penis, according to the Chengdu Economic Daily.
On Friday, a boy aged five and a half years urinated on the floor of a toilet, missing the urinal. A classmate told the story to the teacher, surnamed Bai, who took down the boy's trousers and threatened to cut off his penis while holding a knife.
The boy's finger was cut as he tried to protect himself from the knife. He burst into tears and the teacher dressed his wound with a plaster.
Returning home that night, the child told the story to his mother, who then demanded that the teacher apologize and be transferred to another post.
The teacher said that the boy was very naughty and had urinated in the wrong place many times. She said she just wanted to frighten him, not hurt him.
