Man arrested for selling newborn son

A man was arrested for selling his newborn son for 30,000 yuan ($4,958), Inner Mongolia Morning News reported on Monday.
The man, surnamed Bao, a resident of Xilinhot, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was reported to have sold his son and was detained by police on Jan 22.
Bao confessed he had promised to sell his child to a herdsman surnamed Su on Oct 31, 2013, before his son was born and did so immediately after the boy was born. The case is under further investigation.
