BEIJING - The Chinese men's soccer team has accepted the invitation to take part in the Copa America 2015 in Chile, announced the Chinese Football Association (CFA) on Monday.
The CFA said it has accepted the invitation from the South American soccer governing body, Conmebol, but still waits for the Asian Football Confederation confirmation.
The Japanese men's team is the only Asian team to have played in the Copa America before, and it was eliminated in the group stage in 1999.
