That sinking feeling

Two buildings in a Shanghai residential community became too close for comfort when one leaned into the other, dfic.cn reported. The property developer blamed subsidence.

The buildings were 12cm from each other at the narrowest point and 2 meters apart at the widest when they were erected.

An investigation is under way.
