Midwife collapses after delivering 11 babies
When it comes to delivering babies, we naturally think that the mother-to-be has the most painful experience and ignore the feelings of doctors and midwives. A scenario at a hospital in Wenling, East China's Zhejing province, made us rethink.
A midwife collapsed on the ground after helping to deliver 11 babies in eight straight hours before dawn at the First People's Hospital of Wenling on Sunday, Wenling Daily reported.
From 12:00 to 8:30 am, the midwife, surnamed Xu, attended eight natural births, three C-sections and helped a lying-in woman who was losing blood before fainting due to hypoglycemia.
