Broadband services in rural areas

More than 90 percent of impoverished villages in China are expected to have access to broadband internet services by 2020, according to a poverty relief action plan. The plan specifies tackling poverty through internet services on five major fronts: network facilities, mobile terminals, information content, e-commerce platform, and public services.
