HKSAR chief executive heads for London to promote Hong Kong's advantages of economy, trade
HONG KONG -- Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor on Wednesday departed for London, hoping to promote trade ties.
During her stay in London, Lam will address two events organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, namely the Hong Kong Dinner in London, celebrating the long and close relationship between Hong Kong and Britain, and the "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" symposium, which will showcase Hong Kong's business services advantages for British companies seeking opportunities in Asia.
During her four-day visit, Lam will meet with senior officials of the British government, members of parliament, as well as members of the business sector and professionals, to brief them on the latest developments in Hong Kong.
Furthermore, she will take the opportunity to meet with the Chinese community and Hong Kong students in Britain.
Since Lam took office, she has visited different places for eight times including Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar and cities in the Chinese mainland.
