Night of Beethoven
Shanghai Symphony will give a concert under the baton of Lu Jia, presenting Symphony No 4 in B Major and Piano Concerto No 4 in G Major by Beethoven. On the piano will be young musician Zhang Haochen, winner of 2009 Van Cliburn Competition.

Listening to poetry
Ouyang Jianghe is a poet, academic and music critic. He will share with readers his new poem collection, The Phoenix, which combines the narrative of ancient fairy tales with reconstruction of modern panorama. This is the first of a series of poetry readings to be held at Minsheng Museum.

Artists galore
Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute is showcasing about 140 art works from 18 artists. Instead of focusing on large-size projects with particular themes, the exhibition reflects the artists' aesthetic and artistic exploration. The show provides a glimpse of the artists' creating process, ideas and capabilities.
