Over the course of three days, the 2nd China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF) will put on show digital and paper books, magazines, CDs, and more, targeting children below the age of 16.
Representatives of 250 domestic and foreign participants, including Oxford University Press, Amazon and China Publishing Group Corp, are expected to host exhibitions beginning November 20.
The time-honored "Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award" will also be awarded, according to Kan Ninghui, deputy director of the Shanghai Bureau of Press and Publication.
"The event is an attempt to boost international exchange and culture. We hope that it will make more kids fall in love with children's literature," Kan said.
