Interns’ program takes to field The Cross Cultural Internship Program (CCIP) held a recognition ceremony at Citi Field in New York on July 10. Chinese Consul in New York Chang Quansheng, Singapore's Consul in New York Eugene Ng, New York City Councilman Peter Koo and Assemblyman Ronald Kim spoke at the ceremony. The CCIP is a summer program for Asian exchange visitors to acquire practical experience and gain insights into American society, values, people, business practices and professional culture. The program started in 2008 and is administered by Fusia Communications, a designated visa sponsor of the US State Department's Exchange Visitor Program (J-1 Intern). This year, 71 participants were selected out of 1,050 applicants from nine partner universities in Asia, including The University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and The Hong Kong Institute of Education. The participants were matched with more than 20 host organizations in the Greater New York area, including government offices, law firms, publishing houses, media firms, advertising agencies, real estate agencies and more.
