Field Guide to Natural History and Wildlife of Nujiang-Gaoligong Mountains

Located in western Yunnan province and straddling the border of southwestern China and northern Myanmar, the Gaoligong Mountains are a place with an abundance of natural species and very little documentation.

Field Guide to Natural History and Wildlife of Nujiang-Gaoligong Mountains, published by the China Encyclopedia Publishing House, is an effort to capture the biodiversity of this area. The Chinese-language guide contains 800 photos and descriptions of around 700 different plants, insects, birds, fish, reptiles and mammals which are found along its seven observation routes.

In order to produce the guide, a team of photographers from the Imaging Biodiversity Expedition Institute and wildlife experts from the Gaoligong Mountains National Nature Reserve made three field trips over 2013-15.
