A painting of the magnificent Three Georges dam is now part of collections at the National Art Museum of China.

Museum director Wu Weishan said in Beijing on Tuesday that the painting will be on public display soon.

The 62.8-meters-long colored ink scroll has six parts that show breathtaking views of the Yangtze River and the landscape around the world's largest hydropower station, which spans 193 kilometers from Chongqing in Southwest China to Yichang in the central Hubei province. It was executed by nine artists who traveled along the river and sketched for five months in 2002.
