Special concert celebrates China-CEEC Cultural Cooperation Forum in Hangzhou
A special concert for the 3rd China-CEEC (China and Central and Eastern European Countries) Cultural Cooperation Forum was held at Hangzhou Grand Theatre on Sept 22, 2017. Nearly 300 leaders from China and 16 CEEC countries, together with 700 audiences from all walks of life in Hangzhou, enjoyed the concert.
The forum was held in Hangzhou from Sept 21 to Sept 25, 2017. The ministerial-level forum was a platform of highest level to promote cultural cooperation between China and 16 CEEC countries within "16+1 cooperation framework", initiated by China and an important part of the Belt and Road Initiative.The concert began with Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 composed by Franz Liszt. Chinese conductor and vice-chairman of China Musicians Association Zhang Guoyong cooperated with pianist Chen Sa, violinist Lyu Siqing, soprano Zhou Xiaolin and the Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra to perform classic musical works of China, Hungary, Serbia and Poland.
