HK actress Sandra Ng makes her directorial debut

As a popular comedian actress in Hong Kong cinema industry, Sandra Ng announced to open a new chapter of her career in Beijing on Oct 10.

Alongside her partner, Peter Chan, an award-winning Hong Kong helmer, the 52-year-old Ng unravels the behind-the-scene stories of her directorial debut, Yao Yao Ling (The Monsters' Bell).

The movie, with Chan as the executive producer, will open across the Chinese mainland on Dec 29.

Set in a rundown building in a city's downtown area, the tale narrates a string of weird things occurring there.

Mahua FunAge, one of China's most popular comedy troupes, is one of the financers of the movie. Its most famous comedian Shen Teng will also play in the movie.
