Shaanxi university to promote culture alongside Palace Museum

China's Northwestern University signed an agreement with the Palace Museum in Beijing on Oct 13 to jointly work on protecting and promoting cultural relics and traditional culture.

Chang Jiang, the university's vice-president, and some 700 representatives of the museum, the university and the Shaanxi provincial government, among others, attended the signing ceremony.

The university's Party secretary Wang Yajie said at the event that the educational institution in the country's northwestern province will use its knowledge of archaeology and take advantage of the Palace Museum’s cultural resources to make the cooperation a success.
