'Lovely fool' wins prize

Director Feng Xiaogang and his disaster epic Back to 1942 was the biggest winner at the China Film Directors' Guild's Awards Ceremony for Films in 2012.
Feng was honored as Director of the Year and the picture won Film of the Year. Feng made a tearful speech describing filmmakers as lovely fools obsessed with their art.
Xu Zheng won the Special Honor of the Jury for his directorial debut Lost in Thailand, a comedy that earned 1.2 billion yuan ($190 million) last year.
Actor of the Year went to Huang Bo for his performance in thriller Design of Death, and Yan Bingyan won Actress of the Year for her portrayal of a depressed mother in Feng Shui.
