Kate Upton has officially been crowned 2013's Model of the Year, and will pick up her prize Wednesday at the 10th annual Style Awards that kick off New York's Mercedes-Benz Fashion week.
Reality-star-turned-fashion designer Nicole Richie will host the event, which also honors designer Zac Posen, celeb stylist and designer Rachel Zoe, and New York Giants wide receiver (also turned designer) Victor Cruz. The awards will air on CNN on Sept 14, according to Glamour.
Kate Upton appeares on the October cover of Vanity Fair, which will come out on Sept 5, and its e-version will be available Sept 10.
Inside the special issue of the October's Vanity Fair, Kate mimics the magazine's original cover from Oct 1, 1913, that showed an illustration of a woman lounging on the moon. The cover photo was taken by the famous Rolling Stones magazine photographer, Annie Leibovitz.
Upton shot to fame in 2012 with her first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover and Kate graced the cover for a second time this year.
Kate has also added acting to her resume. She will be in the flick called The Other Woman, due out in movie theaters April 2014. Her co-stars include Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz.
