Daniel Wu was born on Sep 30, 1974, in Berkeley, California and is an American-Hong Kong actor, director and producer. In 1997, he traveled to Hong Kong to witness the historic handover with no intentions of embarking on a movie career. Film director Yonfan saw him in a clothing ad at an MTR station and approached him about starring in an upcoming movie. After then, he has been featured in more than 60 films and is referred to as "the young Andy Lau."
