Zhang Xian, an agent representing a victim in a hit-and-run case, was asked to apologize and give 1 yuan (17 US cents) in compensation to the father of Yao Jiaxin, the criminal executed for the crime, according to a verdict of the Yanta district court in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on Tuesday. Yao, a conservatory student in Xi'an, stabbed a female migrant worker named Zhang Miao to death in 2011. After he was executed for the murder, his father Yao Qingwei sued Zhang Xian for violating his right of reputation.
