The per capita healthcare expenditure in China reached 1,820 yuan ($286) in 2011, according to the China Academy of Medical Sciences and Beijing Municipal Health Bureau. According to the research, released on Monday, total healthcare expenditures in China was 2.45 trillion yuan in 2011, accounting for 5.2 percent of GDP, and about 500 billion yuan more than 2010.
