Liang Weifa, director of Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department, to police officers on Sunday when he visited the Guangzhou public security bureau. He praised the performance of police officers in an abduction case in which a man who kidnapped a 10-year-old girl was shot dead near Guangzhou Railway Station on Saturday. Police opened fire when they saw that the hostage's life was threatened by the kidnapper.
