Billion yuan

The investment in railways construction in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region reached nearly 13 billion yuan ($2.05 billion) this year, the Urumqi Railway Bureau said on Sunday. There are four new railway projects and eight extension projects. The total investment construction could reach 120 billion yuan in the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) period. The total length of Xinjiang's operational railways could reach 8,200 km by the end of 2015.
