How to donate

Through the Red Cross Society of China
Donations can be made in several different ways. Renminbi can be sent to the society's bank account 0200001009014413252. Donations in other currencies can be sent to 7112111482600000209. Cellphone messages to 10699993 will also raise money as each message generates 2 yuan (32 cents) donated to the society.
Hotlines on 010-65139999 and 010-64027620 have been set up to answer queries about donations or the society's quake relief efforts.
Through other foundations or departments
China Siyuan Foundation for Poverty Alleviation released its bank account for donations: 318156031781. Hotlines at 010-85698220 and 010-85698221 have been set up for donations.
China Youth Development Foundation opened the hotline 010-64790590 for donations to fund the reconstruction of schools in quake-hit areas.
The Department of Civil Affairs of Sichuan province has also set up a hotline at 028-84423049 for materials donations.
Other online donation channels
China's e-commerce giant Alibaba has launched an online donation platform and several groups, including One Foundation, have set up donation accounts on the platform. Netizens can find the channel on Love.alipay.com.
Sina.com.cn, one of China's major news portals, has also set up an online donation program on its website. Donations can be made at Gongyi.weibo.com. The program's goal is to raise 20 million yuan ($3.23 million).
