The recently concluded Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Communist Party of China Central Committee has included "Internet power" into the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) as an important strategy. Nowadays Internet economy is of great significance in China's development.

With the support of the national policy, rapid development of the Internet has become a driver of national economic development. It's high time the country advanced the Internet Power strategy to rise to the challenges and seize the valuable opportunity of development in the new era. The nation has advanced to implement an Internet plus action plan and develop big-data strategy.

Since the beginning of this year, many policies about information economy and Internet economy have been released one after another. In May the Chinese Cabinet issued Made in China 2025, which is called the Chinese version Industry 4.0. In July it issued guidance on actively promoting Internet plus action. And in late August the State Council issued an outline to promote big data development in the next five to 10 years.

These policies have formed the major content of the Internet power strategy and will be conducive to realizing the goal of becoming an Internet Power.
