China will set up five production centers to provide public service advertisements across platforms, according to a joint document recently released by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the SARFT, GAPP and other state bureaus.
People's Daily, CCTV, China Mobile, China National Radio and CNTV will each head a production center to produce the ads on print and online media, mobile terminals, TV and radio stations.
The ads will cover the usual topics of environmental protection as well as modern Chinese cultural values and civism.
According to He Haiming, vice-director of the CCTV Advertising Center, the document also encourages sponsorship from companies with good reputation.
