Boris Johnson, the mayor of London, launched the first official Chinese-language website for London on Oct 14, the first day of his six-day trip to China with a UK business delegation.

Johnson unveiled the website in the 798 art zone in Beijing. The website offers online resources and services for Chinese students, tourists and visitors to the UK capital. During his time in China, Johnson will meet with business leaders, politicians and financial investors. He will go to Shanghai and Hong Kong later this week.

At the same time and venue, the London Universities International Partnership launched its "London Innovation Showcase", a pop-up exhibition celebrating Chinese artistic and technical talent at London's leading universities.

The 16 universities of LUIP demonstrated their achievements in areas including medical science, technology and product design with installations designed by renowned artist Michael Johnson. The exhibition aims to attract more Chinese students to study in London.
