Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom confront how to feed the world's population in the three countries' pavilions at Expo Milano 2015
The Expo Milano 2015 (www.expo2015.org/en), which runs until Oct 31, revolves around one question: how to feed a world population of more than 5 million?
It sounds quite alarming. But when one arrives at the Expo venue in Milan's suburb, one feels assured of the solutions, backed by people's resolve and more importantly, creativity.
Some 184 country and organization participants are interpreting the serious theme, Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life, in an innovative way and with a light touch.
The pavilions stand close to one another, saving visitors from a lot of walking and searching. Still, it's mission impossible to see all of them.
One solution is to arrive at the expo earlier than tourist groups, in the morning. That was what I did to guarantee a pleasant experience of visiting the popular German, Japanese and UK pavilions.
