Comment on "Real estate prices rise for sixth month" (China Daily, Dec 4)
I'm not surprised at the news that housing prices in major cities increased for the sixth consecutive month. The report reflects the real situation in the real estate market in big Chinese cities.
I'm one of the so-called white-collar workers in Beijing and my salary is not too low compared with many of my peers. But housing prices are still too high for me to afford. Without their parents' help, I am afraid few young people can afford the high housing prices in big cities. The government should do something to curb the skyrocketing housing prices and help the common people.
