Editor’s note: Today is China’s Army Day. We salute all the men and women who have served, or are currently serving in the military, for their sacrifices. Some Forum readers have shared their, or their relatives’, photos and stories.

I was born into an army family. My grandparents, my parents, my aunts and uncles were all in army. This is a photo of my grandparents. My grandpa was born in 1930. When he was 15-years old, he became a serviceman. He devoted 40 years to the army. My grandpa took part in the War of Liberation and the Korean War. Before his retirement, he was the commander of the sub-command in Xinjiang.[Photos provided to chinadaily.com.cn] |
