SAO PAULO - Brazilian club Internacional says it has signed midfielder Anderson from Manchester United.
The club said it reached a four-year deal with the 26-year-old Brazilian player on Tuesday. United said Anderson left the Premier League club on a free transfer.
Anderson had been with United since 2007 but recently was on loan at Italian club Fiorentina.
The midfielder left Brazil as a potential star and played well for FC Porto before moving to United, where he didn't fully live up to expectations - despite winning the Champions League, a Club World Cup and four Premier League titles.
He played briefly with the Brazil's national team after moving to England.
Also Tuesday, Internacional rival Gremio said it sold Argentine striker Hernan Barcos to Chinese club Changchun Yatai.
