With the days growing longer and warmer, people in the capital are itching to trade their winter jackets for short-sleeve shirts and venture outdoors in search of fun.
This summer, they will find what they are looking for at Metropark Lido Hotel's Fountain Piazza, a venue that features the best of food, drink and music in one place.
It is hard to stay inside on a sunny day but harder still with the allure of live music coming from the piazza.
A trip there opens up endless possibilities. The festive ambience could inspire a sing-along with the band or one might feel the urge to get up and dance after a few drinks.
Is it the music? The heat? The beer? It is hard to put a finger on it, but one thing is for sure - spending time at the piazza shows you do not need to be on a tropical beach to let your hair down and have a good time.
"My kid loves it here. I mean he loves playing with the fountain and you know how kids are. He'd be wrecked about half an hour later and would go eat some dessert and before you know it, he's gone playing again," one guest said, with a grin on her face.
Speaking of drinks, the Lido piazza features an old-fashioned lemonade stand, providing guests with different choices of freshly made juices. While juices maybe the first choices of the ladies, their other halfs might prefer a bottle of German Schwarzbier or Krombacher.
After catching up with friends and gradually polishing off a bottle of Pinot Grigio, the smell of BBQ coming off the grill becomes tempting. The food selection ranges from cute little hors d'oeuvres to traditional Chinese appetizers. Guests can enjoy a greater variety by mixing and matching.
The Lido Fountain Piazza is only a couple minutes' drive away from the distinguished 798 Art District, so often celebrities and artists can be spotted around this place, making it the perfect spot for debuting your latest dress. Who knows? You might just get caught on camera by the paparazzi.
