Across America: US-China-Brazil Forum discusses Sustainable Infrastructure

WASHINGTON DC:
Dr Christopher Williams, Director of the United Nations-Habitat Office in Washington, hosts the opening of the US-China-Brazil Forum on Sustainable Infrastructure & Urbanization, held in Washington DC on April 10. A range of government officials and experts, including Dr Ines Magalhaes, National Secretary of Housing in Brazil; Dr. Marianne Fay, chief economist of the World Bank; and Dr Ping He, President of the International Fund for China's Environment, which is the main organizer of the conference, reviewed overall achievements by the three countries in sustainable development practice and discussed remaining challenges and obstacles.[Charlene Cai/China Daily]
