Chinese soprano Ruhan Jia is joined by Rich Bengloff, president of the American Association of Independent Music, at a June 21 event featured in the organization's A2IM Indie Week in New York, where the singer performed. The versatile Jia sings opera but also performs in theatrical musicals and movies. She contributed to Chinese-American composer Christopher Tin's classical-crossover album Calling All Dawns, which won two Grammy awards for 2010. Provided to China Daily |
