WASHINGTON -- US Treasury Department on Wednesday announced that Under Secretary for International Affairs Lael Brainard was scheduled to visit China this week on economic discussions.
Brainard's Sept 26-27 trip was part of the Obama administration's continuing economic engagement with China, the department said in a statement.
The official will discuss with her hosts US and global economic developments and China's efforts to strengthen domestic demand-led economic growth, it said.
