LOS CABOS, Mexico - Chinese President Hu Jintao met here Sunday with Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi to discuss expansion of all-round cooperation between China and Ethiopia.

The two leaders met on the sidelines of a G20 summit, which will be held on Monday and Tuesday in the Mexican resort.

The meeting will focus on global growth and stability as the fragile world economic recovery is threatened by the eurozone crisis and other problems.

Mexico, the host of the summit, has invited Ethiopia and some other non-G20 members to attend the Los Cabos meeting.

China and Ethiopia have enjoyed traditional friendship. In recent years, the two countries maintained close political exchanges and dialogues.

Last August, Meles paid a visit to China, injecting new impetus to the development of bilateral ties.

The two countries also enjoyed productive economic and trade cooperation. China has become Ethiopia's largest trade partner and main source of foreign investment.
