2 shot dead in southern California shooting

LOS ANGELES - At least two people were killed and three others injured in a shooting spree in Downey near Los Angeles on Wednesday, local media reported.
Five people were shot when a gunman, believed to be a 30-year-old African-American male about 6 feet (1.8 meter) tall, opened fire in a fire extinguisher business called US Fire Protection Company some 20 km southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
Two people were killed, although KTLA.com put the number at three. The victims were a mother and a daughter, according to NBC4.
The suspect is believed to be driving a vehicle belonging to one of the victims, KTLA.com reported. Police are investigating the incident and looking for the gunman.
The injured victims were taken to St. Francis Medical Center and Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
