YANGON - A total of 13 children out of 78 were killed in a fire that broke out with a mosque school in Yangon's Botataung township early Tuesday, local authorities confirmed.
The fire, which occurred at 03:00 am when the children were asleep, was caused by electric short-circuit triggered by overheat of a voltage transformer installed inside the mosque, sources said.
The fire has been brought under control.
