Palestinian president starts China visit

BEIJING - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Beijing on Sunday to begin a state visit to China that will last from May 5 to 7.
Chinese leaders will meet Abbas on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
Abbas is visiting China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.
