Indonesia is a co-host for this year’s China International Small and Medium Enterprise Fair, as authorities from both countries signed a memorandum of understanding on Thursday in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province.
Neddy Rafinaldy Halim, Indonesia’s deputy minister of cooperatives and small and medium enterprises, said co-hosting the world’s largest fair for SMEs will help boost the country’s business and trade links with China.
"We are keen on exporting more products to China to facilitate the trade ties,” he said.
Trade between China and Indonesia is expected to grow from $66.2 billion in 2012 to $80 billion in 2015, according to Halim.
The exhibition is scheduled to open in autumn at the Pazhou International Convention Center in Guangzhou.
