PARIS - Gun attacks happened at the headquarters of French newspaper Liberation and outside the suburban headquarters of the bank Societe Generale in Paris on Monday, injuring one person, local media reported.
In the first attack occurring around 10:15 a.m. (0915 GMT), the 27-year-old victim, a photographer's assistant, was shot in the chest and stomach and was in a critical condition, said the newspaper.
Over an hour later, shots were fired outside the Societe Generale headquarters in the La Defense business district.
The bank said on Twitter that the shooting wounded no one and an investigation was underway to identify the perpetrator and know the cause of the incident.
The police did not confirm a link between Monday's incidents. A manhunt was underway in the city.
Last Friday, a man armed with what appeared to be a gun broke into the headquarters of French television BFMTV in Paris, threatening journalists before escaping.
