Avalanches in Switzerland kill 4

GENEVA -- At least four avalanches took place on Sunday in mountain ranges of the Alps in Valais, a canton located in southern Switzerland, killing four people and injuring another.
According to the Valais cantonal police, around 11:00 in the morning, a Swiss man lost his life on the spot when he skied off piste and was hit by an avalanche in Nendaz, located in the alpine region of the canton.
Around 14:40, another avalanche crashed down a mountain in Mase, a village of Valais, at an altitude of 2400 meters and buried three skiers and one guide, killing three, including the guide, and leaving one heavily wounded.
Today another two avalanches broke out in different mountainous areas in Valais, and fortunately no more deaths were reported.
