To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China-Brazil diplomatic relations, the Chinese Enterprises Club in Brazil held a badminton competition in Sao Paulo on May 31, with almost 150 representatives from China's Consulate General in Sao Paulo and more than 30 Chinese companies and groups taking part.
The competitors were divided into 17 teams with local Brazilians acting as judges. Competitors from the Chinese Brazilian groups won two gold medals and were the big winners.
The competition was the fifth activity held by Brazil's Chinese Enterprises Club since its establishment in 2013. About 40 major Chinese companies in Brazil have joined the club, including the Bank of China, China Railway Construction Corporation and Huawei Brazil.
"I hope such activities can provide the Chinese companies a platform to communicate and discover potential possibilities for cooperation," said Zhang Dongxiang, president of the Bank of China's Brazil unit.
